For Kent…

The quality of the pictures are pretty poor this way, but you get a somewhat better look at the sheep. Aren’t they gorgeous?!

Back. I think.

I’m feeling a lot better but still not 100% well. This must be the most stubborn cough I’ve ever had. Annyoing!
I’m trying to keep up with things despite the coughing and being tired from lack of sleep due to the bl**dy coughing. Work and studies and cleaning and lanudry and kids and commission knitting and […]

Almost well again

I’m almost over this wretched cold. Hopefully I will be back with something to actually write about as well.

My turn

Well, Mr Swirly and both boys have had it and now it’s my turn. Sore throat, headache, fever etc.
So no blogging for a couple of days. (But I am knitting. Both my arms would have to be broken for me not to knit. )

Never ending shawl and computer failure

It’s a cold, gloomy and rainy morning and I am t i r e d. I’ve been up several times a night for the past 3 nights. Dog puking, kid coughing, kid thirsty, kid had nightmare, and so on… I never sleep well to begin with, and being interrupted all the time doesn’t help.
Oh well. […]

On the way home

Some pictures (taken through a very dirty windshield) from the drive home today (from picking Junior up at his grandparents’). I love the sky, I love clouds! I love weather!

We have beautiful fall weather here today, it’s lovely! Sunshine from a clear blue sky, crisp chilly air, trees turning yellow, red and orange. Pretty! The nights are getting colder and colder, it was -3C/26F when we went to bed around midnight last night. Everythign was covered in frost when we woke up this morning. Very pretty and a nice break from all the rain we’ve had lately.

I was so inspired by the weather today that I vacuumed and mopped the floors downstairs and did a lot of cleaning in general. I like it when the house smells fresh and clean! Mmm! Still have laundry to do, but otherwise the rest of today will be spent studying. And, well, knitting too.

I finally finished the never ending Icarus shawl, but forgot to take a picture of it before I sent it to the recipient… duh! Oh well. I think it turned out quite nice, and I kow the recipient loved it, so that’s all that matters. I’m so glad that’s done with! It’s a beautiful shawl but oh man - most part of the pattern is b o r i n g!

I am now knitting a simple rib scraf for myself, using the lovely Noro Kureyon Mo sent me a while back. A nice, quick knit to cheer me up, that will result it a very bright and colorful scarf to wear with my new black coat. My studies fill my head with so many new things that it’s nice to do something that requires no concentration at all!

I spoke to TeenBoy the other day, he and his dad had been to another meeting with the police, regarding the accident. Apparently, the guy in the car is blaming the whole thing on TeenBoy. I don’t know any more than that at the moment though. It’s all taking time, but I guess that’s the normal routine - our area isn’t exactly crawling with police…

Oh, and I’ve decided that I do want to learn to spin my own yarn.
When? Oh that’s another matter entirely… Ugh.

A quick pop-in

For a blog that has “knits” in its name, there is very little - if any - knitting to be seen or heard of here, I know. I am knitting, but not a whole lot at the moment. I am busy with work and now also completely consumed with my studies/new interest. It’s taking up most of my time, even when it doesn’t have to, just because it’s so much fun!

I am also making some plans for January-June 2008, but I don’t want to tell you about it just yet. Not until I know it will work, what I’m planning. Keep your fingers and toes crossed, because this is something I really want to do! Please? :-)
